The carafe is very hefty and it really doesn't drip, the first one I've had that doesn't. I bought this because of the 14 cup capacity and that is a great feature since I drink coffee all day long. It makes an excellent tasting cup of coffee, which is the important thing. I used the aroma button once but didn't really notice a big difference in the taste. I also don't use the program feature. I bought the Delonghi 14 cup coffee maker because, during a recent party, I wanted two pots, one for decaf and one for regular, instead of dragging out the urns that I use for larger gatherings. Because I bought it without much research, I was afraid I'd hate it. Instead, I couldn't be happier. The coffee is about as good as you can get with an automatic drip, with a setting that slows the drip process for a more intense brew.
